0008 The Dating Game

It makes me cringe to refer to "dating" as a game, because it is so important to many of us to find a suitable partner. If you are anything like me, and you have tried dating companies, then I am sure you have been bitterly disappointed. I recall paying about 800 pounds to one company and ended up literally "flab"ergasted. I stated a basic preference for my so called matches as "slim", but the first lady they introduced me to was quite a porker. There was no chance to view photos in advance in order for me to eliminate the fat chicks. I tried another site, that was much cheaper and there were photos. I met one lady out of about twenty that I was interested in. It was a non starter maybe bad luck. People have said I was brave for travelling to the Ukraine on my own, prior to setting up Romantic Adventures. Christ it's only 3.5 hours away. It made me wonder what people must think and what was going through their minds about the Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Were they afraid because of the fictional horror movies that Hollywood have made or what? Are people so influenced by the rich storytellers who make their way in life contributing to propaganda or whatever. Well OK, I was in the Marines for 6 years, but that does not make me James Bond, though the comparison would be nice. I am just a normal guy and believe it or not, I was just a normal guy when I went to Belfast, and all the chaps in Afghanistan are just normal guys with a job. Going to Eastern Europe is an exciting adventure that I will treasure for the rest of my life. "....ing amazing" is the only way to describe the times I have had, but calming down and slowing down comes to us all at some stage in life, but I don't know about you, I am not putting my feet up in front of the TV every night just yet thanks. I am now studying Russian every day so that I get really get to grips with what is going on over there.
